Member Benefits

Membership in the New Hampshire College & University Council offers a host of collaborative benefits. We implement student programs, organize professional development, and coordinate joint marketing and operations. As a statewide organization, NHCUC is a powerful voice in advocating for the value of higher education in New Hampshire.

Better together

Unique Institutions with Common Goals

NHCUC’s members have unique cultures, offerings, and academic missions. Yet as New Hampshire–based institutions with a shared commitment to excellence in education, they have a great deal in common.

Our work shows that higher education institutions can gain broad mutual benefits from collaborating. From joint programming to information sharing to operating efficiencies, the benefits of collaborating are enormous.

Value for NHCUC Members

NHCUC serves as a coordinating body for advancing higher education across New Hampshire. We work to achieve this goal by implementing innovative programs, sharing knowledge, and advocating for higher education at the state and national levels.

Here’s a sample of how our work benefits members:

Bringing students to New Hampshire

We promote NH as a top college destination for students who live in state, across the country, and around the world. We also inform students and families of the breadth and quality of the programs our members offer.

Boosting college access & success

NHCUC’s innovative NH GEAR UP Alliance and New Hampshire Scholars initiatives draw federal and state funding to help prepare students for success in college一with huge implications for student retention.

Disseminating best practices

NHCUC’s annual Higher Education Summit gathers leaders statewide to address key issues in education. We also convene member presidents and other campus professionals to stay ahead of emerging trends.

Building professional communities

Our professional communities bring together academic, admission, diversity, career, student affairs, library, and other professionals from across campuses to share insight and resources.

Realizing cross-campus efficiencies

Our campuses share in joint marketing, resource development, and programming in areas like student outreach and career readiness. We also leverage state and national funding for programs.

Providing effective public advocacy

NHCUC meets with state and federal officials, provides input on key legislation, and advocates for New Hampshire higher education on funding and other priority issues.
